Memorial Ride - Megalong Valley (Sunday) 8:00am
REVISED MEMORIAL RIDE – 31 October 2021
Briefing: 08:00AM
Stands Up: 08:15AM
Lead: Matteo
Shot Gun: Gaz
Sweep: Al W
After a short ceremony at our meeting point, we will leave McDonalds St Peters heading south on to the M5 and connect to the M7 for a short burst until we exit at Elizabeth Drive. We will head to Windsor, riding through Badgery’s creek and some interesting back roads until we get to Windsor for our first coffee stop. Until this point, we will have all ridden as one single group.
At Windsor during our coffee stop we will need to break the group into two as the Megalong Valley Tea Rooms, our lunch destination, cannot accept a group of our size due to COVID restrictions for all hospitality venues. One group will be requested to hang back a little and relax in Windsor or go on an extended ride, whilst the first group will be asked to have a quick leg stretch and coffee to then set off again.
From Windsor we will head through Richmond to connect on the Bells Line of Road until we reach Bell. At Bell we will do a lefty and connect on the Darling Causeway until we reconnect on the Great Western Hwy heading back south into Blackheath.
At Blackheath we will cross the rail line connect on to Megalong Road and ride through the narrow and windy forest bends until we reach the beautiful valley where we will stop for lunch. We will head back as two groups and refuel to say our good buys.
On the day, please ensure that you are wearing your Chapter blue shirts or alternatively please wear a black arm band.
