We had a great ride today after overnight rain cleared. There was a lot of debris through Royal National Park after overnight weather so we took the old Pacific Highway to Helensburgh then down to Bald Hill, before heading to the Wollongong Kart Raceway. After practice and a 15 lap race Stefano (last year's runner-up) took the flag, Des was four seconds behind, then Ches just ahead of Al. From there it was off to the Robertson Pie Shop before heading home through Bowral. Karting photos posted 6th August 2023

RBT teams and mobile speed cameras were co-locating for Easter Saturday's Mystery Ride. Which, other than the attentions of the constabulary on a double demerits weekend, turned out to be a very pleasant ride down to the Bulli Beach Cafe. Slightly disorganised at the end though, as the last RBT pulled in the first dozen or so riders before sending the rest on their way. With no ride lead or shotgun we missed a couple of corners but everyone made it. Mystery Ride Photos Posted 9th April 2023

The Hill End and Sofala ride looped through Lithgow on the way north. All the photos show a glorious day out. But I hear that the last 70 to 80km back into Sydney hit heavy traffic and that big storm - as bad as anything we've hit in the last year or so. Challenging..

For the March YOTS ride the Chapter trekked from the meeting point at Harley-Heaven Sydney across to Marrickville to pick up the kids and then tackled Galston Gorge before reaching the Glenorie Bakery. The early lunch went down well then the group split, some heading out to take in regional roads and others heading back to the city to return the kids to Marrickville. It got toasty. The March New Members' Ride set a bit of a record as we had seven new members on the ride. Not all the new members stayed long enough to get in the photo as the group left the cafe but it was great to have so many along, joined by around 28 members. It's only a short ride out to Kurnell, and the journey back to the dealership through Rockdale is rarely fun, but the New Members' Ride remains a Chapter favourite for good reason. Sunday's Chapter Photoshop had all the blues - blue sky, blue harbour and a mass of blue Chapter shirts on Blues Point. It's a popular location for weddings so the Chapter postponed its activities until a wedding up the hill was complete and then zipped through the group shots and left before guests arrived for the wedding down the hill. Thanks Chapter Photographer Lifeng Ji and thanks to members for coming out from under the shady trees and herding in an orderly manner. Chapter Photoshoot pix posted 1st March 2023

Quartermaster Shorty opened up the tailgate of the ute to make sure everyone had a bluey to start the day. Then, to get in the mood for the Chapter Photoshoot, members took a route that bounced off La Perouse before crossing the Harbour Bridge to Blues Point. Photos done, a smaller group headed up the Old Pacific Highway for lunch and a chat over the roaring soundtrack of engines leaving Pie in the Sky. Photoshoot coming soon! A glorious day for a ride up to Bathurst for the Bike Show. It's interesting to look at Li's GoPro shots and see how many twin headlight bikes are showing up. The Road Glides are being seen in much bigger numbers these days! Looks like it was a great day out. Bathurst Bike Show ride photos posted 26th February 2023

The backroads ride started with the M4-M8 extension that takes all the hassle out of tacking west. Around 20 riders departed Maccas and, thanks to the toll road, we were soon turning off behind Penrith for country roads, a stop for the Springwood bakeries and then the promised backroads to dodge as much of the highway as possible. The scenic ride down into Megalong Valley had lots of roadwork but, overall, the day had less potholes than the recent average. Awesome! Megalong Valley Ride photos posted 20th February 2023

A fresh delivery of patches means that all the new 2023 committee members will be spending some time with needle and thread. Thanks for taking a role and helping the members! Another enjoyable social night for the Chapter - especially good to welcome back members recovering from health issues and to count fewer bandages on some others. For this ride south to Shellharbour the idea was to get wet, unlike Australia Day when the Chapter meant to stay dry. But high winds and cold air - more like an autumn morning - kept the group close to the barbecue and fully dressed. There's no risk you'll find a group photo with members stripped to swimmers in this post! Quick Dip photos posted 4th February 2023

COVID and then horrendous rain meant a three year gap in running Sasha's Ride. The ride is a memorial to Chapter Member Frank Smart who died after a difficult illness when his daughter was only three. The Chapter picks up Sasha, her mum Gabby and any friends who'd like to take a morning ride with the Chapter. This year it was a hot loop around the eastern beaches with Sasha pillioning on her Dad's Road King, now owned by Membership Officer Mark Hurt. Sasha's Ride photos posted 29th January 2023

The comment Australia Day Ride photos posted 28th January 2023
The comment "At least it's warm" shows the glass half full attitude of members on the Australia Day Ride. Photos are posted, which show the contrasts of the day. Hot and humid to start, quite a few of the members registered to ride opted out after looking at the ominous weather radar. When the ominous manifested everyone made decisions based on their kit and safety until the group was down to about a dozen saturated souls willing to drip on the carpet while they dined..

January's New Members' Ride started with a cleansing shower for people who had unlucky timing on their ride to the dealership. People were keen to press on so, after a delay to let the rain cell pass, Matteo lead out the group. Damp road but no rain - just a few drops as we arrived at Kurnell.
